Independence day is a holiday celebrating the anniversary of
a country’s independence from another country that ruled it in the past. Here
in the Philippines, we celebrate Independence Day on June 12.
It is when the Philippines declared as an Independent country. The Philippines’ heroes sacrificed their lives to reach the freedom of our country. So, June 12 is the day when we traditionally celebrate the Independence Day. We celebrate it by displaying flaglets outside and considered it as a non-working day. Some teachers also give an activity to their students about Independence Day. It is also being reported in the television.
It is important to celebrate Independence Day to respect our country and to reminisce how the Philippines claimed its freedom.
